Wan Liuwei received his B.S. degree in Applied Physics from the College of Science, Henan University of Engineering, China, in 2017. Currently, he is an research assistant in Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, Shenzhen Technology University. His current research interests are mainly fiber optic humidity sensors and fiber Bragg grating-based fiber optic sensing technology.
Ma Zhengyi received bachelor degree from Taiyuan University of Technology in 2013.He worked as a engineer in the State Grid company from 2013 to 2018.Currently he studies in Optical Fiber Sensor at Shenzhen Technology University.
Zhou Zhuxin received his bachelor degree form Hunan University of Technology in 2018. Currently he studies in Optical Fiber Sensor at Shenzhen Technology University.
Xiang Ziyang received bachelor degree from Zhejiang University of Technology in 2015. Currently he studies in Optical Fiber Sensor at Shenzhen Technology University.
Derrick Yong received his B.Eng. in bioengineering from the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the same school as well as an postgraduate student attached to the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, Agency for Science Technology and Research. His research interest include optical fiber devices, in-fiber light-matter interactions and biophotonics.
Raghunandhan Ravikumar received the B. Tech. from National Institute of Technology, Trichirapalli, India in 2008. He has worked as Deputy Manager, Instrumentation & Control, NTPC, India, till 2013. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. His research interests are concerned with biological application in interferometric fiber optic biosensors.
Zu Peng received his Bachelor degree and Master degree from Tianjin University in China, in 2005 and 2007 respectively. He worked as a project manager in Tianjin Kingfiber optical communication and technology Co. Ltd from 2005 to 2008. He obtained his Doctorate degree in 2013. In 2013, he joined Temasek Laboratories@NTU (TL@NTU) as a Research Scientist. Now, he works in Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERIAN) as a Research Scientist. His research interests include LiNbO3 modulator, optical fiber sensors, photonic crystal fiber, magnetic fluids, fiber grating, etc.
Chen Li Han
Dr. Li Han Chen received a PhD Degree in Bioengineering from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore in 2013. Currently, he is a Research Fellow in ERI@N, Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University. His research interests are concerned with biological application in interferometric fiber optic biosensors.
Tou Zhi Qiang
Z.Q. Tou is a PhD candidate at Nanyang Technological University. He received his BS degree in Bioengineering at the same university in 2010. His current research interests include optical fiber sensors, biosensors and smart materials for sensing applications.
Dr. SUN Jian received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 2003 from the University of Science and Technology of China. In 2008, he obtained his doctorate at NTU with a thesis in the field of nano- and microstructured optical materials for biomedical applications. He was granted the 2008 "Chinese government award for outstanding self- financed students abroad"? by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Afterwards, he worked at the research institute Xlim in France to coordinate a joint research project. He is currently training as a German and European patent attorney in an intellectual property law firm in Munich, Germany.
Dr. Na Ni studied applied physics at the Harbin Institute of Technology (Harbin, China), obtaining Bachelor’s Degree and Master Degree in Science in 2003 and 2005. In Jan 2009, she obtained her doctorate at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, under the supervision of Prof. Chan Chi Chiu Julian. Afterwards, she worked at Research Institute of Infocomm in Singapore as research fellow. She is currently working at Global Research Center of General Electric, in Shanghai, China. Her main areas relate to metrology, data monitoring and industry internet.
YiFan Zhang received the B. Eng. from School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University in 2007. In 2013, she received PhD degree from Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. Her research interests are concerned with photonic crystal fibers, optical fiber gratings, biological application in photonic crystal fibers and fiber optic biosensors.
Wong Wei Chang
Dr. Wong Wei Chang received his PhD degree from NTU. He has designed a novel optical fiber structure based on photonic crystal fiber and interferometry. Other research work includes employing a well-known phenomenon, known as modal excitation, an interferometer, biochemical sensing applications such as humidity, pH and immuno-sensing applications. He has published 9 top tier journals and conference papers as first author. His current position is Senior Process Integration Engineer in Global Foundries Singapore PTE LTD.
Cui Ying received her Bachelor degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2006. Then she pursuited her Ph.D degree in School of EEE, NTU. Her research interests focused on selectively-infiltrated photonic crystal fiber based sensing applications. After submition of thesis she joined ERI@N, Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University as a research engineer.
Yangzi Zheng received his B.S. degree in the specialty of Measure Control Technology and Instrument from North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China, in 2012. He is a graduate student of Institute of Optoelectronic Technology in China Jiliang University since 2012. His main research interest is fiber sensors.
Luo Niu received her B.S. and M.S. degree in Optic Engineering from the College of Optical & Electronic Technology, China Jiliang University (CJLU), China, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Currently, she is an researcher in School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. Her main research interest is fiber sensing technology based on fiber gratings and photonic crystal fibers.
Jingyi Yang received the B.S. degree in optical and electronic information engineering from China Jiliang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2013, where she is currently pursuing the degree at the Institute of Optoelectronic Technology. Her main research interest is fiber optical sensors.
Xiangping Ning was born in 1988 in Liaoning Province, China. He received his B.S. degree in Optical Information Sciences and Technology from Tianjin University of Technology, China, in 2013. He is a master candidate in the Institute of Optoelectronic Technology in China Jiliang University, Hangzhou, China. Now he is an exchange student in School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering of Nanyang Technological University. His main research interest is fiber sensor technology.
Hu Limin was a Visiting Project Officer in OFS group during the period of June to December in 2011. She is now a researcher in Hangzhou Hpwinner Opto Corporation, China.
Wenwen Qian received the B. Eng. And M. S. degrees from the Institute of Optoelectronic Technology, China Jiliang University, in 2009 and 2012 respectively. In 2011, she was a Visiting Project Officer in School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. Her major research focuses on photonic crystal fibers, fiber gratings and optical fiber sensors.
Li Tao was an exchange student from China Jiliang University. During the exchange period, his research is mainly focused on photonic crystal fiber sensors. Now he is a service engineer at Coherent.
During July 2011 to February 2012, Ni Kai worked in OFS group as a project officer. He studied the refractometer based on a tapered photonic crystal fiber interferometer and Mach–Zehnder interferometer with waist-enlarged fusion bitaper, the humidity sensor by using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer in normal single mode fiber which was modified by the depositon of chitosan on the cladding. He also conducted experimental research of fiber PH sensor. He is now an Associate Professor in China Jiliang University.
Hu Pengbing is now a resercher at Research and Develepment Center of Metrology Technology, Zhejiang Province Institute of Metrology (ZJIM), Hangzhou, China. His research area is mainly focused on optical fiber sensing and metrology.
W. Zhou was a visiting project officer in OFS group from 2010.07 to 2010.12. His main research interests included the fiber-optic sensors based on photonic crystal fiber interferometers and fiber loop ringdown technique. He is now a Ph.D candidate in Carleton University.
Gong Huaping has worked in OFS group from Dec 2009 to Jun 2010 as a visiting research fellow. He has investigated Sagnac interferometers based on low-birefringence photonic crystal fiber, and developed the collapse splicing method of hollow-core photonic crystal fiber and fabricated modal interferometers based on this splicing method for sensing applications. Now he is a Professor in China Jiliang University.
Jin Yongxin worked in OFS group from Feb to Sep 2009. He has engaged in research and development of optical fiber sensors. He studied the fiber sensor based on tilted fiber Bragg grating, fiber sensor by using fiber loop mirror in normal single mode fiber. He also conducted experimental research of Supercontinuum in photonic crystal fiber. He is now a Professor in China Jiliang University.
